Horizon West Healthcare President and Chief Executive Officer Ken McGuire recently participated in a panel discussion regarding the importance of higher education.
McGuire, a longtime Auburn, California resident, was one of five panelists who spoke at the UC Davis MBA Fast Track: The Sacramento Series, “Maximizing your MBA Return,” sponsored by the School of Management at UC Davis held Feb. 3. The series brings together UC Davis MBA alumni and current students for a sharing of their personal experiences on how completion of an MBA from UC Davis has helped them achieve professional growth.
As president and CEO of Horizon West McGuire is responsible for one of the largest owner/operators of skilled nursing and inpatient rehabilitation facilities in the United States. McGuire joined Horizon West in October 2008 as the chief financial officer and was named president and CEO shortly thereafter. In his present role he is responsible for the day-to-day operations of 27 facilities located in California and Utah.
