Glenn Erickson, retired former sports editor for the Ukiah Daily Journal for over 30 years, celebrated his 86th birthday on April 23 at Valley View retirement home.
Surprising Glenn on a beautiful spring day were, Jamie Connerton, Bob Willeford, Mario Scaturro, and other friends at the home. Glenn is very fond of reminiscing and many stories were told and everyone enjoyed his favorite dessert, a five-layer chocolate cake.
As usual, on every birthday, Glenn is fond of reminding others about the famous people who share his birthday, such as William Shakespeare and Shirley Temple. He always says that he wishes he could write and act as well as both of them. Oh well Glenn, maybe next year...
Glenn is doing well and always enjoys a good visit from friends and people he has written about in the past.
