Dr. Lezley Brown asumes new position |
Meadow View Manor recently announced the appointment of Dr. Lezley Brown as medical director of its Grass Valley facility.
In her new role Brown oversees care and acts in an advisory capacity to all the patients in the 99-bed center that specializes in rehabilitative care.
According to Jim Bursey, Meadow View’s executive director, Brown brings a high level of expertise and resources to the facility and its residents.
“Dr. Brown is so good because she is compassionate, youthful and energetic,” Bursey said. “Many members of our staff knew her and she was top on our list of candidates for the position.”
Brown, 40, is a family practice doctor with Sierra Care Physicians on Pleasant Valley Road in Penn Valley. As medical director, Brown said she is the liaison between the physicians and patients who are admitted to the facility. Brown will oversee medical treatment and guidelines at Meadow View and provide wellness training to Meadow View’s clinical staff.
“Having a medical director at a rehabilitation center is vital to maintain the continuity of care for all patients,” Brown said.
Canadian-born and raised, Brown came to the Grass Valley area about 3 ½ years ago.
When she’s not tending to her patients, Brown said she enjoys spending time with her three children who are all active in a variety of sports.
